Abstract
Color is one of the most important visual elements for distinguishing phenomena from each other, which expresses a lot of information, emotions and unsaid and is effective in displaying the details of the fractal structure. Fractal art is a novel and new visual art in digital art that has emerged from the multiplication of logical mathematical functions. Fractal geometry as the geometry of nature exists in many visual arts, and color also appears as an inseparable element next to form in fractal art; Considering that the fractal dimension represents the level of complexity, irregularity and unevenness, color can visually reduce or increase the amount of these complications, irregularities and unevenness. Therefore, the question arises, how effective is the color factor in calculating the dimension, which is one of the important features of fractals? The aim of this research is to achieve the effect of color on dimension in fractal art.
This research is fundamental in terms of purpose and descriptive and analytical in terms of method. Library method is used for data collection and fractal analysis software is used to determine fractal dimensions. After entering the software, the color samples are converted into a gray image and then into a binary image, and its fractal dimension is calculated.
By calculating the dimensions of the samples in blue, red and green colors, it was concluded that after black, blue has the highest and green has the lowest fractal dimension. Therefore, according to the obtained results, color is an important factor in the fractal dimension and different colors will have different effects on the dimension.
