Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Visual Arts

The quarterly "Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Visual Arts" is a scientific journal with a B ranking from the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of IRAN, which has been published in both Persian (full text) and English (extended abstract) by the Faculty of Arts of Neyshabur University, with the cooperation of first-class professors and members of the editorial board from the country's leading universities in the field of visual arts since May 2021. This quarterly journal is considered the first scientific research journal in the visual arts group of the country, which was formed with the aim of publishing research achievements in the field of interdisciplinary studies of visual arts and with a focus on new sciences, including: multimedia arts, artificial intelligence, and digital design.

The Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Visual Arts aims to take an effective step towards promoting and enriching interdisciplinary knowledge and interpreting and resolving issues in the visual arts fields by creating a discursive space for theoretical, practical, and experimental research in various fields of the visual arts (visual communication, painting, photography, sculpture, calligraphy, moving image, and typography) and its relationship with other sciences (basic sciences, humanities, and engineering sciences), especially fields related to artificial intelligence, multimedia arts, and digital design. This quarterly journal is ready to publish research that addresses the following topics and issues: a) Interdisciplinary connections in visual arts: the consequences of interdisciplinary relationships in various fields and institutions of society such as education, religion, family, politics, culture, and other sciences; b) What is visual arts and how are the disciplines within it related from the past to the present; c) Developments in visual arts in the modern era: Application of artificial intelligence in visual arts, multimedia arts and digital design; d) Solving interdisciplinary problems of visual arts: including social issues, advertising, art management, higher education and its connections with other sciences.

According to the regulations for determining the scientific credibility of publications of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the scientific journal Interdisciplinary Studies of Visual Arts was ranked B in 2026 among Art and Architecture journals.

The language of the journal is Persian and English.

The average time for reviewing articles is 18 days.

The average time for accepting articles is six months.

Type of review: Double-blind review (reviewers and authors do not know each other).

Plagiarism: To prevent plagiarism, the Samim Noor plagiarism checker is used.

Intellectual rights: All intellectual rights of the work belong to the author/authors.

Types of articles that can be reviewed: point of view, scientific research, book review, case study, etc.
