Siavash is one of the legends whose story can be read in detail in Ferdowsi's Shahnameh. He is a prince of Kiani who, in addition to his courtly status, also holds the rank of a hero. The narrative of Siavash's life has many literary attractions that attract the attention of the audience. Siavash never sat on the throne, but as is evident in ancient texts, he had a divine nature. Although Siavash's narrative and his passage through fire have often attracted the attention of artists, Siavash's brilliant illustrations have received less attention from artists. Among the works of art, the illustrated Shahnameh of Paris, dated 953 AH, dates back to the Safavid era and depicts “Siavash passing through the fire.” The visual clarity of the aforementioned painting is a suitable source for analyzing Siavash’s brilliance in Safavid painting. Now the question arises: "What visual devices did the artist of the painting of Siavash passing through the fire use to reveal Siavash's nobility?" It is assumed that the artist who painted the Shahnameh in 953 AH, with knowledge of the symbols of the fire, made Siavash's nobility evident. The aim of the present study is to analyze the visual symbols of the fire in the painting of Siavash passing through the fire in order to show the mythological status of Siavash. Research in this area will be helpful in mythology and anthropology studies. The method of collecting information is library and the nature of the research is descriptive-analytical. he results of the research acknowledge that the narrative of Siavash's life affects the audience in a way due to its tragic aspects. Which distances itself from Siavash's mythological status, while the Parisian painter of 953 AH, with his artistic intelligence, uses elegant symbols to reveal Siavash's status.
