Statement of the problem: Today, informal education in visual arts disciplines is offered in a wide and diverse way. In fact, this education is so common that its impact on the Iranian higher education system cannot be underestimated. Unofficial education of visual arts includes the following items: 1- Experimental painters 2- Art schools that offer preparatory courses for taking the entrance exam for art universities at various levels of education. 3- Art schools that are closer to the standards available in universities and are often established by artists and in some cases founded by artists who also teach at universities. 4- Art schools that are active in the theoretical field of art such as art history, art philosophy, art criticism, etc.
The present study attempts to examine and study the adaptation and relationship between the fields of visual arts and non-formal education. Research Question: The present study faces the question of how visual arts can be studied in non-formal education and university education?
Research Method: The present research method is descriptive-analytical. Also, qualitative analysis method has been used to analyze the data. In this research, the information has been collected in a library manner and organized to answer the research question.
Conclusion: As can be seen from the study and comparison of the presentation of visual arts disciplines in formal and informal education, the purpose of educational content also affects other components. This is while a major part of informal education is based on the experiences of the teacher and the preferences and not the wishes of the student.
