In response to contemporary environmental crises, environmental education based on environmental art has gained a prominent role in conveying environmental concepts and promoting sustainable development in many leading countries. This study aims to expand interdisciplinary discussions between environmental art and environmental science by examining the theoretical foundations for collaboration between environmental scientists and environmental artists at the international level. By reviewing global experiences and environmental theories grounded in environmental art, this research investigates how engaging children in environmental art activities can strengthen their connection with nature, foster ecological thinking, and encourage responsible environmental behavior. The study highlights that environmental art possesses significant potential as an effective tool for teaching essential environmental concepts and principles to children, enabling them to develop sustainable attitudes and ethical awareness toward the environment. Furthermore, environmental art-based educational approaches provide a practical and adaptable model for children to interact sustainably with their natural surroundings, enhance environmental literacy, and cultivate nature-loving and environmentally conscious individuals from an early age. Many international practices in environmental art education can be implemented in Iran as well, provided they are adapted to local organizational, cultural, social, ecological, and climatic conditions, as well as national and religious values and existing regulations. This research is applied in purpose, descriptive-analytical in methodology, and relies on primary research sources, library and document studies, and translation of relevant texts. Ultimately, the study seeks to identify and present the most influential capacities of environmental art in educating children, promoting active participation, and fostering lifelong respect for the natural world.
